Shellie is a force of nature—witty, hilarious, edgy, and the kind of person who can turn any ordinary moment into a story worth retelling. Equal parts wild-hearted adventurer and southern soul, she’s lived a life that reads more like a movie than a résumé.

From singing on stage and opening for legends like Pam Tillis, Kelly Clarkson, ZZ Top, and Big Brother and the Holding Company, to working as a Janis Joplin impersonator on a cruise ship, Shellie has never done life halfway. She studied recording arts in Orlando, spent time in Nashville producing and recording records in the recording studio, and chased music, laughter, and adventure across multiple states. Comedy, singing, storytelling, and a good drink with good people? That’s home turf for Shellie.

Then, in classic reinvent-yourself fashion, she went back to school, became a nurse, and built a second calling serving others as an LPN in rural Colorado—bringing heart, humor, and grit to the community she loves.

She’s as devoted to her rescue dog Shadey as she is to adventure, happiest out on a walk with him, soaking up mountain-town life, collecting stories, and probably cracking people up along the way. Equal parts rock-and-roll soul, healer, comedian, and dog-obsessed free spirit, Shellie is one of those rare people who makes life feel bigger, louder, and a lot more fun just by being in it.

ABOUT Hometown Voices 2026

Seeds of Learning is excited to announce our new fundraiser, Hometown Voices and Nashville Stories. This new event will be a “can’t miss” night, featuring Nashville Hall of Fame singers/songwriters Jeffrey Steele, Wendell Mobley, Danny Myrick, and Megan Linville. This award-winning group has written songs for some of Nashville’s most talented artists like Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flats, Jason Aldean, Montgomery Gentry, and others.

In addition to performances and stories from this group of talented artists, your hometown voices of Pagosa will compete for this year’s Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice awards in a “voice” type competition. Contestants, consisting of both duets and solos, will contend for your donation votes and the votes of our Nashville songwriter judges.

This event raises critical funds to support Seeds of Learning’s quality, NAEYC accredited early learning program.
